Just days after his explosive performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, Drake was slapped with a lawsuit from a stylist who claims that the rap superstar owes him thousands of dollars in fees and expenses.

In a lawsuit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Michael Raphael, a clothing boutique owner, was doing some "consulting work" for the Toronto rapper, and in August 2012, was offered a $40,000 job to help him with "brand direction."

According to New York Daily News, Raphael assisted Drizzy with his "wardrobe styling" for his cameo in A$AP Rocky's 'F---ing Problems' video and for his appearance at the 2012 American Music Awards.

Raphael claims that he was told that he would be compensated for traveling expenses and thousands of dollars he made for Drake at clothing stores like Nike, J. Crew and Footlocker. The stylist even rented a Toronto-area apartment because Drake did so much business in Canada.

Then Drake abruptly canceled the agreement in December, and left Raphael with an enormous bill for one month's work and over $30,000 in expenses.

Raphael is seeking over $76,000 in damages.

Attorneys for Drake had no comment on the matter.
