De La Soul’s upcoming album, and the Anonymous Nobody, is shaping up to be a great project to look out for. To promote the album, the veteran rap trio just released a socially-conscious track called “Greyhounds,” which features R&B superstar Usher.

Over a symphonic production that consist of violins, stirring drums and melodic keyboards, Pos and Dave rap two different stories about people trying to find their way in life and taking a bus in order to find it.

In the first verse, Pos spits a tale about a naive girl who finds herself caught up in the fast life of NYC. “She just wanna new zip code for an old dream / Lost in an appetite now the big apple might find her habit of a queen / Feel the negro that's filled with an equal match road / Destination unknown,” he raps.

On the second verse, Dave raps about a man spiraling out of control in the drug game. "Beneath the roof of a Super 8, he sleeps till it's night time / Then connects in the streets like a pipe line / In dark shades he supplies dark brigades / Of lost souls with his chemical morsels," he spits.

On the chorus, Usher sings, "I can see it on your face / I know how to get there and I give you my word that I'll get you there safe.”

“Greyhounds” follows the previously released singles “Royalty Capes” and “Drawn,” which features Little Dragon.

De La Soul’s LP and the Anonymous Nobody, their first project in 12 years, is available for pre-order at iTunes. The collection will arrive on Aug. 26.
