Dave Chappelle has been poking fun at President Donald Trump ever since he stepped foot in the White House. But the veteran comedian regrets one thing he said about Trump during his appearance on Saturday Night Live last November.

Just days after Trump won the 2016 election, Chappelle told the audience to give him chance during his hilarious monologue on SNL.

“I’m wishing Donald Trump luck, and I’m going to give him a chance, and we the historically disenfranchised demand that he give us one too," he told viewers.

Clearly, he put his foot in his mouth and now he totally regrets it.

On Monday (May 15), the funnyman apologized for his remarks during his speech at the Robin Hood Foundation event in New York. “I was the first guy on TV to say ‘Give Trump a chance.’ I f---ed up. Sorry,” he said, according to MSNBC’s Willie Geist (spotted by The FADER).

Trump's presidency, as many critics predicted, has been nothing short of disastrous . For example, it's now being reported that President Trump had shared highly classified information during his meetings last week with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

If this is true, we might see talks of impeachment for Donald Trump (*crossing fingers*).
