Tis the season to be.....looting?

Two Dallas County Sheriff Deputies were placed under arrest on Thursday (November 20th) once allegations of looting after a tornado destroyed a Home Depot.

According to Dallas Morning News, Sargent Rebecca Evans and Joseph Bobadilla removed certain items from the damaged Home Depot.  She was booked and released on $500 bond.

Home Depot used off duty deputies to watch the store to prevent theft which gave them the opportunity to steal.

Authorities raided Bobadilla's home and removed a washer, dryer, and microwave which was purchased with store credit which was issued for the items he's accused of stealing.

Dallas County Sheriff's Department issued a statement on the incident,

The department core values and what are core values are in our department are integrity, professionalism and accountability so it definitely is a slap in the face on those core values.

Reports also include a third person who was identified as a current or former Dallas County employee tried to return items at another Home Depot, but wasn't arrested.

This investigation is still pending.
