Cooking with my crock-pot really gives me a break from kitchen slaving this time of year, allowing me more time to spend with my family while the food is cooking itself. Another easy-as-pie recipe that's always a winner is my Spicy Chicken & Sausage with Potatoes - talk about filling and yummy! Try this recipe and I promise your family will want more!

You Will Need:

6 lbs. Red Potatoes
4 lbs. Smoked sausage
4 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
16 oz. Cream Cheese (softened)
21 oz. Cream of Celery Soup
1 Cups Chicken broth
2 t. Red Pepper Flakes
Directions:
Gather items and either line your crock-pot with appropriate heat liner or spray with non-stick cooking spray. Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste, then fully cook chicken by baking in oven on 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

While chicken is baking, if desired, peel potato skin, otherwise leave skin on for an earthier taste. Cut potatoes into small wedges, however, if your family likes chunkier soup, cut potatoes into larger pieces.

Cut sausage into bite size rounds, and place in crock-pot. In a medium bowl, gently blend your Cream of Celery soup, softened cream cheese, 1 Cup of Chicken broth, and Red Pepper Flakes. Slowly pour mixture over sausage and potatoes - and stir gently.

If chicken is cooked, let cool, then cut into bite-size pieces. Add chicken to crock-pot.Cook all ingredients on low heat 6-8 hours.

Serves 10-12.
Extras:
Serve with French bread, Cornbread, or Potato bread!
Garnish top with celery and cheese!
