Creepy Clowns in East Texas?

What began in other states as a funny prank, no longer has people in East Texas laughing. Longview Police Department received a call on September 29th at 10:30 about a person in a clown suit lurking around the intersection of Birdwell and Gilmer Road.

As a concerned parent and resident of Longview, I am very leery now of my children being out alone after dark.  We have no clue who these people are and apparently they disappear before police can arrive to the reported location.  Therefore, I have no choice but to protect my children at all cost until this "Creepy Clown" movement is no longer an issue.
