Former 'Scandal' star Columbus Short was arrested Friday night and charged with public intoxication in Dallas, Texas, according to PEOPLE.

An employee of Katy Trail Ice House told the site that Short was involved in an altercation with the bar's security guard.

TMZ reports that Short had been drinking for four hours when the guard thought that Short was leaving without paying his tab. Short then accused the guard of racism, and a fight broke out between the two.

Short's arrest last night is the latest in a series of bad news for the 31-year-old actor. He was first arrested for attacking a man in a restaurant and then was later accused of threatening his wife with a knife.

As a result of his legal troubles, ABC announced that Short would no longer appear on the network's hit TV drama series 'Scandal' starring Kerry Washington.

'Scandal' will begin airing its fourth season this fall.
