If you have eaten at Chili’s restaurant on the loop within that last two months you might need to check your credit card information because on Friday (May 11th) Brinker International the parent company of the brand informed the public that their payment card information has been compromised.

KSAT report, the incident happened between March and April.  They are currently working with a third party forensic experts to gather details of what happened and how many potential customers were affected.

The investigation indicates malware was used to gain information from customer’s credit and debit cards as well as data from the cardholders who dined at the restaurant.

Brinker said in a released a statement:

We sincerely apologize to those who may have been affected and assure you we are working diligently to resolve this incident.

They are asking individuals who have eaten there to add fraud alert with Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union or put a freeze on their accounts.
