I think just about everyone knows of or has read a Dr. Seuss book sometime.  With so many books available it’s hard to pick out my favorite.  So my list of top 3 favorites would include The Cat In The Hat, Green Eggs And Ham and How The Grinch Stole Christmas.  Dr. Seuss’ creator, Theodore Geisel, would be celebrating his birthday next Friday (March 2nd), but he past away in 1991.

In his honor the Tyler Public Library is throwing a birthday bash for Dr. Seuss Thursday & Friday, March 1st and 2nd for preschool children in the Library Auditorium. The library will be showing the 1942 short film: Horton Hatches The Egg.  There will also be storytelling and book readings throughout the day and are free to the public with no reservations required.

Large groups should make reservations though with the library at 903.593.7323.

There’s a bunch of them to choose from, but what would be your favorite Dr. Seuss book?
