Bushwick Bill of the iconic Houston rap group the Geto Boys has died.

According to the Associated Press, surrounded by family born Richard Shaw known as Bushwick Bill passed away peacefully (June 9th) at 9:35 p.m.

Bushwick Bill was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in February and was planning a reunion tour, but plans fell through as Bill had a disagreement with the organizers of the tour.

During the summer of 1991, Bushwick Bill shot himself in the eye during an argument with his girlfriend, losing his right eye in the process while under the influence of Everclear grain alcohol and PCP.

In August of 2018 another member of the Geto Boys DJ Ready Red died of a heart attack.
