Beyoncé has been ramping up anticipation for her new ‘Countdown’ video for days now, right down to a ticking clock on MTV’s homepage.

Beyoncé has always used her videos as a way of trying on new looks and playing with striking visual styles, and ‘Countdown’ is no exception. She uses bold color schemes and adopts a variety of retro-inspired guises to domestic bliss to life.

“Oh, killing me softly and I’m still falling / Still the one I need, I will always be with you,” she begins, “Oh, you got me all gone, don’t ever let me go / Say it real loud if you fly / If you leave me you’re out of your mind.”

Moving from a sleek black dancer’s ensemble to a bob cut and stylishly revealing gown, then donning a wide-brimmed hat and colorful, tight-fitting shirts, Beyoncé flaunts her dance moves — and growing baby belly — as she leads us through her countdown:

“My baby is a 10 / We dressing to the 9 / He pick me up at 8,  Make me feel so lucky 7 / He kiss me in his 6 / We be making love at 5 / Still the one I’m going 4 / I’m tryna make us 3 / From that 2 / He’s still the 1.”

Beyoncé co-directed the video for the track, which samples Boyz II Men’s “Uhh Ahh.” Watch the full-length clip below!
