Beyonce Leads Nominations For 2020 NAACP Image Awards

2019 was a great year for music and the nominees for the NAACP Image Awards have been announced and Beyonce and Lizzo are leading the pack.

According to the NAACP Image Awards website, Bey snagged eight nominations which include outstanding album for Homecoming: The Live Album, outstanding female artist, outstanding song-traditional for “Spirit”, outstanding song-contemporary for the summertime remake “Before I Let Go” and also a nomination with her daughter Blu Ivy, SAINt JHN and WizKid for outstanding duo for “Brown Skin Girl.”

Time Magazine’s Entertainer of the Year Lizzo has had a great 2019 as she was nominated six times which include, entertainer of the year, outstanding album, outstanding female artist plus more.

The 2020 NAACP Image awards will air live for the first time on BET on February 22nd at 8pm est.
