BET Producer Suspended for Blue Ivy Joke

On Monday's segment of 106 & Park, guest host Karreuche Tran made a joke during a discussion about the MTV Video Music Awards.

Blue Ivy, who is the 2-year-old daughter of Beyonce' and Jay Z, was the center of a hair joke which caused the couple to reach out to BET and its president Stephen Hill.

It's said that one of the producers of the show (no name given) was responsible for writing the joke that Tran read and was suspended by the network.

BET made a private apology to the couple Wednesday.

This was made after Blue Ivy and Jay Z joined Beyonce on stage after she received the Video Vanguard Award from MTV.
