The wait and speculation is over as former Texas Congressman Beto O'Rourke announced his presidential bid for the 2020 election.

According to CNN, he kicked off the race asking Americans to look past their differences in order to confront the challenges we all face on a daily basis.

Beto is now in Iowa on a three-day tour making his case on why he should be the next Commander In Chief.

This is a defining moment of truth for this country and for every single one of us.  The challenges that we face right now, the interconnected crises in our economy, our democracy and our climate have never been greater.

O'Rourke who ran an impressive campaign run against Senator Ted Cruz last year gained national headlines and even coming up short the attention of him possibly running for President started to pick up steam to him even meeting former President Barack Obama in December.

The democratic nomination is getting pretty stacked with a lot of potential hopefuls to challenge President Trump and let's not rule out former Vice President Joe Biden to officially announce his run which could be any day now.

Buckle up!  This is going to be a wild ride for months to come.
