It has been nearly three years since David Letterman retired from his late-night talk show of 22 years back in 2015 and just when you thought he was out, he's coming back for another round.

CBS News reports that the former talk show host who’s now sporting his infamous beard is slated to host a 6-episode series for Netflix entitled “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” beginning Friday January 12th. The show will focus on a single guest, along with long-format interview and field segments.

David said in a statement:

I feel excited and lucky to be working on this project for Netflix. Here's what I have learned: If you retire to spend more time with your family, check with your family first. Thanks for watching, drive safely.

His first guest is definitely a heavy hitter - none other than former President Barack Obama. Other guests include Jay-Z, George Clooney, and Howard Stern, just to name a few.

Letterman said that he is right where he wants to be right now at this point in his life.  Also, if you were wondering he’s keeping the beard forever.
