August Alsina is battling with a health crisis and he shared it with his fans on Instagram. The R&B singer revealed in an interview with Jada Pinkett Smith that he’s suffering with liver disease.

In an Instagram post, the 24-year-old New Orleans native said that he’s been battling with an autoimmune disorder affecting his liver. "I've been living my life in so much dis-ease that I've literally created it within myself," he wrote. "God has invested something inside of me, But I am not afraid of this Agony because I know that God pulls us back to shoot us FORWARD."

"To my lovely and loyal fans.. Please take care of yourself and your bodies & your SOULS.
A beautiful face will fade, a beautiful body will too fade, but a beautiful soul is that FOREVER," he continued. "I have so much to share, until I do... Please say a prayer."

He then shared an IG video where he sat down with Jada and talked about his disease. In the clip, Alsina told Smith that he's not charity case.

“I have a liver disease where my autoimmune system is fighting itself. The reality is that I’m sick all the time," he said. "I don’t really like to talk about it because I’m not looking for anybody’s sympathy. Don’t treat me like I’m a f---ing cancer patient because I’m not.”

Alsina has dealt with health issues in the past. Last year, the singer underwent treatment for his failing eyesight. Prior to that, the singer was in a three-day coma after collapsing onstage and having multiple seizures in the hospital.

We want to wish the best of health to August Alsina. We know he's a fighter and he will beat this disease. Prayers up!
