Ashanti Checks In On The Rickey Smiley Morning Show

Coming off the success of her VERZUZ battle with Keyshia Cole, R&B star Ashanti was declared the "people's champ" in the battle and she's capitalizing on the love with some new music and more.

Ashanti stopped by The Rickey Smiley Morning Show recently to share some new music and a new video for her latest song "2:35 (I Want You)" ,which looks to have drawn inspiration from the recent "Silhouette Challenge" craze, and she went on to reveal to the crew that she's working on a new film.

Also, she talked to the crew about what it was like to have COVID-19, which was the reason the first VERZUZ battle between her and Cole was postponed. Despite it all, the battle managed to pull in over 11 million streams continuing the success of the battle series.
