One of four suspects wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred at the American Inn turned himself in to Tyler police Monday morning.

Lawrence Charles Murphy Jr., 20, was the first suspect identified by police in connection with the murder of Wesley Lester, 26, of Tyler, who was found shot to death inside a motel room June 15 in Tyler.

Murphy apparently fled to the Dallas area after the murder and returned to Tyler on Monday to turn himself into Tyler Police.

A second suspect, Darin Pilkinton, 18, of Tyler turned himself into authorities June 21 after a capital murder warrant was issued for him.

Tyler police also identified a third suspect, Michael Tekielleon Browning, 34, of Tyler, who is also wanted for capital murder. The identity of a fourth suspect is being withheld pending an arrest warrant to be issued.
