Amazon has opened up their checkbook for the rights to a documentary about the life of Rihanna.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming giant paid $25 million for the untitled documentary.

The documentary which is directed by Peter Berg, will highlight more than 1,200 hours of footage and will offer insight into Rihanna's personality, her work ethic, sense of humor, family, and even love.

Berg, gave some more info on the documentary,

That was a fun change of pace…to go travel with Rihanna around Europe, and Rihanna is surrounded by girls. We were in Nice [France]. She was going to do a concert on Bastille Day. And that truck driver who killed all those people plowed through them right in front of our hotel. So even in me trying to do something light, I had a very, very front-row seat to something that horrific.

There is no specific word on when the documentary will be released, but I'm sure it will be something to look forward to.
