Monday (November 5th), Amazon announced that they will be offering free shipping to all customers for a "limited time."

According to Forbes, this is the first time that the company has made such an offer without a minimum order requirement.

Amazon Prime customers will still get free two-days shipping, but with the new offer, customers will have to settle for the five-eight day shipping option.

Prime customers also get another special perk: including more items eligible for same day shipping.

The move comes shortly after Target announced that they are offering free two day shipping to all customers through December 22nd.

Walmart also offers free two-day shipping, but they require a $35 order to qualify. This is the first time that the company has made such an offer without a minimum order requirement.
