It's finally that time of year again, Christmas is just around the corner and there is so much to celebrate! But there is more to December than just Christmas, read more to find out all about December.

December was originally the tenth month of the Roman calendar, but as we all know know it is the twelfth of the Gregorian calendar. December is also the month with the shortest day of the year, more commonly known as the Winter Solstice (it usually occurs around Dec. 21 or 22).

For those born in December, their astrological sign is either Sagittarius or Capricorn. The birthstone for December is turquoise. And December has three flowers associated with it, so you can choose your favorite between holly, paper white narcissus and poinsettias.
