R&B songbirds Alicia Keys, Brandy and Erykah Badu were all on fire -- vocally -- with their performances at the 6th annual BET Honors. The all-star event, which was taped last month in Washington D.C., salutes distinguished African-Americans in the fields of entertainment, sports, music and philanthropy.

This year's honorees included Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry, legendary songbird Chaka Khan, religious leader T.D. Jakes, Olympic gold medalist Lisa Leslie and music executive Clarence Avant.

Backed by ballet dancers, Keys feted Ms. Berry with a rendition of 'Brand New Me' while a barefooted Brandy sung -- for the first time -- her new single, 'Without You' with dancer Anthony Burrell.

Meanwhile, Badu and Ledisi paid tribute to Khan with spirited performances of 'What Cha' Gonna Do for Me,' 'Everlasting Love' and 'Ain't Nobody,' respectively. Finally, Mint Condition performed their classic ballad 'Breakin' My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes)' and their new tune, 'Slo Woman.'
