Make sure you take some time out to check out Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin In The Sun at the Tyler Civic Center, February 5 - February 14 under the direction of Debbie Kirkland Waffer.

A Raisin In The Sun debuted on Broadway in 1959 and the title comes from a poem by Langston Hughes titled "Harlem" also know as "A Dream Deferred". This is the story of a black families experiences in the Washington Park Subdivision of Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood.
