50 Cent’s Starz’ series Power is one of the most popular shows on cable television and now the rapper has his sights set on taking over BET.

On Sunday, 50 took to Instagram to do one of his favorite things: bash Fox’s Empire. “Remember that other show that thought they were in competition with POWER, what happened to it? I don’t hear anyone talking s--- anymore,” the rapper wrote.

But it didn’t end there. 50 also said he would be taking over BET after the network revealed his upcoming series, 50 Central. “Now I’m gonna take over BET. LOL #50Centralbet,” he added.”

The rapper’s comments caught Gabrielle Union’s attention, whose show Being Mary Jane is also on the network.

Union had a problem with 50 Cent bashing other black shows, saying, “I don’t compete with other artists, only celebrate. Enough space for all of us to succeed. Cheers to #Power and cheers to creative folks uplifting each other. ALL our programming could use more shine, so I opt to uolift (sic). I know that celebrating other folks in no way dims my shine. Keep shining @50cent.”

While 50 Cent is never one to avoid a social media beef, the rapper opted to not clap back, telling Union, “I’m never gonna argue with you because your Wade's lady, I like Dwayne I got a lot of respect for him. This post has nothing to do with you but you know I’m gonna be #1 at BET, and I want you to know your Mary Jane show is welcome to stay on my network. LOL.”
