This Saturday (November 16), Keep Tyler Beautiful will host Tyler Recycles Day. The event will be a part of many events across the country to celebrate America Recycles Day. Tyler Recycles Day will be held at the Tyler Recycling Collection Center, located at 418 N. Bois D’Arc Ave. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon, according to TylerPaper.com. You can bring your recyclable items. Ark-La-Tex Shredding will provide shredding for individuals and businesses. Batteries will also be collected by by Interstate Batteries

Acceptable recyclable items include:

-newspapers, magazines, phone books
-junk mail, mixed office paper, paperback and hardback books
-#1 and #2 plastic soda and water bottles, milk jugs and detergent bottles
-cardboard of any type, aluminum cans, tin cans
-cellphones and chargers, small electronics, computers, printers
-green, brown and clear glass bottles and jars
-metal (copper, aluminum, brass, steel)
-motor oil/hydraulic fluid and anti-freeze
