The Minnesota Vikings are expected to hire Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer as their next head coach, according to NFL.com.

Zimmer has been the Bengals' DC for six seasons and has made the Cats one of the best defenses in the league.

He will take over the Vikings for his first-ever head coaching job.
