The young girl began yelling, telling the woman to let her go, but Diaz told her not to cry  in Spanish. That’s when a woman witnessed what was going on and jumped into action.

She had just dropped her child off at school and saw what was going on, so she pulled car over. Quick thinking got her out of the car and told the kidnapper she was the young girl's mother and to let her daughter go. She then drove Amy to school and notified the authorities.

I was thinking, 'Oh my gosh, I'm going to live.

Amy was so grateful for the stranger coming to her rescue she thanked the woman and said 'You’re my hero'.

Later on the police did arrest Hernandez Diaz for kidnapping.
