[BREAKING] Legend Whitney Houston Dies at Age 48

The New York Times is reporting iconic pop singer Whitney Houston, seen by many as the premier musical star of her generation, has died. She was 48.

The Times says the cause and location of her death is unknown. Houston has had many battles in her past with drug addiction, which largely contributed to the end of her career.

TMZ is reporting Houston died at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles.

Whitney Houston won two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 22 American Music Awards and 30 Billboard Music Awards during her historic career. Her album “Whitney” was the first female album to ever hit the music charts at No. 1.
