A sequined and beaded bustier that the late, great Whitney Houston once wore was auctioned off over the weekend to the tune of $18,000. The bra-style top hit the block at Julien’s in Los Angeles on Saturday (March 31) and raked in quite a nice sum. Obviously, the value increased in the wake of Houston’s untimely passing on Feb. 11.

The item was a part of the auction house’s Hollywood Legend series, according to The Boombox. The bustier was not the only Houston-related item that had the hammer fall for it. A grey velvet gown she wore to a pre-Grammy fete in 1996 sold for $11,250, while a pair of pearl drop earrings, which she wore on ‘The Bodyguard’ set, went for $2,812.

More of Houston’s things are slated to be auctioned off in June of this year.

She will also return to the big screen posthumously in the remake of ‘Sparkle,’ where we will still get to hear that lovely, angelic voice of hers. She lives on beyond her possessions, courtesy of the film. You can check out the film’s trailer, which boasts plenty of our gal Whitney. R.I.P.
