Over the last week, we've asked you to tell us which high school has the best marching band in East Texas and you responded! We were blown away with the 27,988 votes that were cast for the bands from all across East Texas!  Thanks to your help, we know which bands are in the the top 10 as named by you!

We know the UIL holds special marching band competitions with all kinds of requirements in order to be named the best marching band in the state.  In fact, several East Texas high schools have been named best in state for their precision and accuracy while marching. We applaud these schools and these students for the countless numbers of hours they put into practicing the routine. We wish all the schools in East Texas the best of luck when they go to competition and hope they come back with more hardware for their school!

We want to give a special thanks to all the schools who were represented in the poll. Without the hard work off these bands, they would not have been represented.

Based upon the total number of votes, here are the ten schools that received the most votes from the poll:

  • Lindale Eagles
  • Bullard Panthers
  • Mineola Yellowjackets
  • John Tyler Lions
  • Brownsboro Bears
  • Spring Hill Panthers
  • Jacksonville Indians
  • White Oak Roughnecks
  • Athens Hornets
  • Troup Tigers

Now that we've got the top 10, it's time to vote again!

You may now vote once every three hours and voting will end on Wednesday, October 4th at noon. The ongoing results of this poll will not be displayed and will be revealed on Wednesday, October 4th along with the winning school!

Spread the word across your social media and get more votes for your favorite East Texas high school marching band!  Good luck to all!

Here are the results from preliminary voting.  'Other' votes were write ins from all across East Texas and other schools from around the state!  Spring Hill was bumped to sixth place in preliminary voting due to all the write ins before they had been added to the poll.
