Family of Missing Retired Texas Firefighter From Quinlan Offers $25,000 Reward

When my kids were younger, one thing that always spooked me was the thought that something could happen & they’d disappear in the blink of an eye.  I remember when the “Natalee Holloway missing in Aruba” story broke in 2005, it gave me chills.  My girls are grown & on their own now, but I admit to still being haunted by this fear, especially if I get their voicemail when calling & don’t hear back in a relatively short time.

For the past few days, I’ve been spellbound by this latest example of “gone in a flash”:  the story about the 70-year-old retired Dallas firefighter from Quinlan who hasn’t been seen since coming home from Walmart last Friday.

As KLTV reports, even the Hunt County Sheriff is frustrated, noting that his long-time friend Michael Chambers was seemingly “here one minute, then gone the next”.  The Texas Rangers & FBI are on the case now too, yet still no real progress.

Yesterday the Chambers family offered a $25,000 reward.  They hope the money will spark more public interest & lead to Michael’s safe return.  At minimum, maybe some new information will point authorities in a more specific direction.  I can’t even begin to imagine what that missing man’s family must be going through now that it’s been almost a full week since he was last seen.  I’m sending positive thoughts to the Chambers- please join me.
