Valentine's Day will never be the same because of this.

Ever since I was a kid around Valentine’s Day passing out those chalky candy hearts to your crush was always a highlight especially if the feeling was mutual.

However, that is all coming to an end as the colorful hearts (brand name Sweethearts) were previously made by Necco closed their factory.

According to Fox 9, Spangler Candy Company in Ohio purchased Necco Wafers and Sweethearts in 2018.

Spangler's is known for making Circus Peanuts and Dum Dum lollipops, and CEO Kirk Vashaw said in a press release that they plan to relaunch Sweethearts in time for Valentine's Day 2020.

We are particularly excited about the Sweethearts brand. Many people have memories of sorting through their box of Sweethearts to find just the right message to share.

If you really need to get some you can purchase them online from sites like Amazon, but they are from last year.

Will you miss them?
