Tyrese received some good news in his child custody battle with his ex-wife Norma Gibson. According to Page Six, the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services has closed its investigation into the R&B singer allegedly beating his daughter.

Tyrese allegedly “went into a rage, pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other,” reads Norma's complaint. It’s also alleged that Shayla was begging for mercy while Tyrese continuously beat her and she couldn’t sit afterward “due to the pain she was experiencing.”

Tyrese and Norma have been battling it out in court over custody of Shayla. Tyrese reportedly violated his restraining order by hiring a plane to fly a banner over his daughter’s school and sending her a slew of gifts.

Earlier this week, Tyrese broke down on Instagram, begging to see his daughter. But contrary to reports, the "Sweet Lady" singer is fine and well. “Contrary to what some of y’all might believe. I'm actually ok," he told his fans on Instagram.

Recently, Tyrese posted a video on his Instagram account of himself meditating.

"Fully in my zone until my daughters dog came running in. [Say] hello to “Roman.” Now [I] know first hand what this scripture means.... “Be still and know that I am GOD," he wrote in the caption.
