Tyler's Christmas Parade will go on! This year's parade is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 4 and will feature civic groups, the annual lighting of the Christmas tree and the arrival of Santa Claus! The parade will begin in downtown and start at 6 p.m. with the route staying the same -- beginning at Bow Street it will head south on Broadway to downtown, go around the square and return north on Spring Street.

At the conclusion of the parade, the city's Christmas tree on T.B. Butler Fountain Plaza will be lit.

The parade this year is being organized by the Tyler Police and Fire Departments after the disbandment of the Tyler Jaycees earlier this year, as they previously coordinated this annual event. If you have a civic organization and would like to be involved in the parade, you may obtain an application on the Tyler Police Department's website.
