A Tyler mail truck caught fire during its route Tuesday.

Around 12:20 PM yesterday, fire officials got a call of a mail truck on fire on Holly Lake Circle. When crews arrived, the truck was fully engulfed.

The mail carrier did try to save what he could of the 2,000 pieces of mail but about 90 percent was destroyed in the fire.

If you live in the 75202 zip code and believe you are missing mail from yesterday, contact the postmaster's office.
