Tyler Police Asking The Community To Help ID Walmart Theft Suspect

The Tyler Police Department is asking the community for help in identifying a man who attempted to steal three televisions from Walmart on Troup Highway and got into a fight with an employee who tried to stop him.

From our media partner KLTV, the unidentified male arrived at the store around 1:10 a.m. on Saturday (November 17^th) located at 5050 Troup Highway in a dark-colored Chevy pick-up which appeared to be an extended cab.

The man then proceeds to grab the three televisions placed them in a cart and proceeded to walk out the door.  Employees tried to hold the man he resisted.

He made another attempt then ran out the store into the vehicle and got away.
