Beautiful springtime weather is coming back to East Texas and families will soon be out and about looking for something to do outdoors! Tyler Parks + Recreation is bringing back it's annual Spring Movie in the Park series beginning Saturday, April 22nd.

The Movie in the Park series is normally held at the Bergfeld Park Amphitheater, since construction is happening at this park on a new amphitheater, you can see all the movies from the series at Pollard Park at 710 E. Amherst St. In the case of inclement weather, the movies will be shown at the Glass Recreation Center at 501 W. 32nd St. Glass Recreation Center supervisor Ann Santana says,

The Free Movies in the Park is a great FREE outing for families at beautiful Pollard Park. Attendees are urged to bring lawn chairs and blankets as there is no installed seating at this park site. Soft drinks will be served free of charge, compliments of Tyler Beverages."

The movies that will be shown during the Spring Movie In The Park series are:

  • Saturday, April 22: "The Jungle Book" 2016 (live-action) at 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 29: "Finding Dory" 2016 (animated) at 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 6: "The Little Mermaid" 1989 rated G (animated) at 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 20: "Secret Life of Pets" (animated) at 8 p.m.
