According to KLTV 7, Smith County will be under tornado warning until 3:45 p.m.

Already Hawkins, Lindale and Winona ISD have students sheltered in place, with bus service on hold in Hawkins and Lindale ISD until the danger has passed.

This storm, capable of producing a tornado, is located near Edom about 16 miles northwest of Tyler, moving east at 30 mph. The storm will be near Lindale around 3:25 p.m. and Tyler around 3:45 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued at 2:26 p.m. for southeastern Van Zandt and northern Henderson Counties until 3:30 p.m. This storm, located 5 miles northwest of Athens, is moving to the northeast at 40 mph.

This storm is capable of 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. If you are in the line of this storms, you should seek shelter inside of a sturdy building.

A Tornado Watch has been issued for Smith, Upshur, Wood, Rusk, Franklin, Gregg, Titus, Harrison, Morris, Panola, Marion, Camp and Cass Counties until 10 p.m. Be prepared for the possibility of severe weather throughout the afternoon, evening and into the night.
