Today we celebrate the life and legacy of a brave man, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Born January 15, 1929 and taken away from us too soon. Today, as you enjoy your day off from work, really consider what his contribution to the country was. Ask yourself the question, "Why do I remember the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr."

I asked myself that question and I came up with one answer, and that was he was afraid. Yes, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was afraid, for his life, his family's life and our life's as well. The beauty of his fear was that it did not cause he to be a coward, instead he looked fear face and said "Not today or tomorrow". In his speeches and recordings you can hear and see his fear. His fear of the world not changing, the fear of his own people not supporting his thoughts or his dream.

Today, I take the time to thank Dr. King for teaching us how to turn fear into a dream that becomes a reality.
