Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler Reaches a Milestone With New Heart Hospital
Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics are about to open the East Texas area’s first free standing heart hospital.
The Louis and Peaches Owen Heart Hospital named in honor of the couple who donated a record $18 million to help construct the state-of-the-art facility will open to the public December 15th.
Thursday members of the media, and hospital officials toured the new cardiac care facility which offers the comforts of a five star hotel with meditation gardens, a unique two-story round chapel, and the most advanced equipment in treating heart patients.
John McGreevy, the CEO of the new heart hospital said “because of the generosity of Louis and Peaches Owen, patients in East Texas can be very proud of a truly world-class facility”.
The six story hospital is built adjacent to the main hospital includes 72 private patient rooms that can also serve as Intensive Care Units and create an environment that is vital to the healing process.
The public is invited to an open house Saturday December 8th from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
