The small town of Timpson, Texas, is starting to get used to this whole earthquake thing.

The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed a 2.4-magnitude quake shook the town about 3 a.m. this morning. It originated on the west side of town.

That makes three earthquakes this week to hit near Timpson -- and today's was the smallest of the three. On Monday a 4.1-magnitude earthquake hit about two miles northwest of the town, followed by a 4.3 quake just a few hours later.

Three earthquakes hit the same area in a week back in January and February. This makes at least 12 earthquakes in the East Texas area since May of 2010.
