A random act of kindness for one Texas teenager is paying off big time after she was caught cutting up food for a patron at a Galveston Waffle House.

KHOU 11 reports 18-year-old Evoni Williams was a regular employee working her way through tips to save for her college education when one day her life would change forever when she met her customer Adrien.  The 78-year-old customer was having trouble cutting his food and asked Evoni for assistance and she obliged.

My hands are not up to par. If I want to cut my meat, I look like I'm stabbing it.

The kind act from Evoni caught Laura Wolf’s attention while she was dining and took a picture and shared it on social media not knowing what was going to happen next.

Evoni and Adrien gained so much attention on Facebook that the City of La Marque got involved and declared Thursday March 8th “Evoni Williams Day” and Texas Southern University presented her with a scholarship for $16,000 even though she feels she did nothing special.  Texas Southern has assigned a counselor for Evoni and she wants to major in business management.

This just goes to show you that Big Brother is always watching!  Kudos to Evoni for being such a great inspiration.
