Texas A&M Knocks Off Defending Champion North Carolina To Advance To Sweet 16
Now that my bracket is officially busted in the NCAA Men’s tournament my attention isn’t on who is going to be the champion, but to actually see some good basketball and that is exactly what I have been watching from the very beginning. The level of upsets during the tournament is incredible and it didn’t stop as Texas A&M knocked off the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Sec Country reports that the Texas A&M Aggies dominated the game and had 4 players in double figures which held the Tar Heels scoreless in 6 minutes and ended the first half on a 29-8 run.
The dynamic duo of Robert Williams and Tyler Davis the two together combined for 26 points and 22 rebounds and also got 3 other players in double figures. The defending champion North Carolina played poorly as they had their worst shooting performance of the year while Texas A&M didn’t make the tournament.
Texas A&M moves on to play Michigan on Thursday at the Staple Center.
