Sadly, the teen fan that made headlines last week when Beyoncé called in to FaceTime with her, has passed away KHOU reports.

Ebony Banks, the high school student whose dream of meeting Beyoncé was propelled by her friends' creation of the hashtag #EbobMeetsBeyonce, was excited when the call actually happened.

“I love you Beyoncé,” Ebony said in the heartwarming FaceTime call, to which Beyoncé waved back and replied, “I love you.”

According to KHOU, the teen passed away just four days after her wish-fulfilling chat with Beyoncé. Banks' friends and classmates at Alief Hastings High School in Houston gathered to hold a candle light vigil in her honor yesterday evening (March 26).

Our sincere condolences go out to Ebony's friends and family.
