Reporters and lawmakers were given access yesterday (June 17th) to facilities in South Texas where children are being held after being separated from their parents after being arrested crossing the border illegally and some that were seeking asylum.

USA Today report, the controversy over the practice that the Trump administration began two months ago continues to grow, as the Border Patrol allowed reporters to briefly visit the old warehouse where hundreds of children are being held.

Nearly 2,000 children have been taken from their parents since Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced “zero tolerance” policy, under which all cases of illegal entry referred for criminal prosecution.

Former First Lady Laura Bush spoke out calling the separation policy “cruel” and “immoral” saying “it breaks her heart”.

Audio was actually captured by ProPublica of six-year-old Alison Jimena Valencia Madrid and other children released Monday (June 18th) heard crying asking and asking for their parents.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama said in a tweet "Sometimes truth transcends party."  I really hope both parties can get together and put an end to this madness.
