Just last March a jury ruled that Robin Thicke, Pharrell and T.I. copied part of Marvin Gaye's hit 'Got To Give It Up' and the family of late singer was awarded $5.3 million. Now Nona and Frankie Gaye, Marvin's daughter and son, want another $3.4 million!
Rapper T.I. may have to hustle a little bit harder to get the tax man off his back. The Atlanta rhymer and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, owe the IRS millions of dollars in back taxes.
The “Blurred Lines” case has been a hot topic ever since the Marvin Gaye family won a $7.3 million judgment against Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams. Now T.I. is caught in the legal crosshairs of the Gaye estate for his involvement in the hit song. Tip has recently spoke out about the case and feels he didn’t do anything wrong.
After walking away with a legal victory, the Marvin Gaye estate has filed additional motions asking a judge to amend the jury’s verdict to include penalties for all parties involved including T.I. and the record labels connected to the hit song “Blurred Lines.”
Thanks to social media we find out that a sequel to the hip-hop cult classic 'ATL' is on the way. T.I. shared some images of some of the original cast, who will take part in the new film.
For this latest installment of The Boombox's '16 Bars' series, T.I. talks about his new album, 'Paperwork,' how he makes great rap songs and his "killer-ant-with-a-sledgehammer mentality."
