Throughout the month of October, generous East Texans donated gently used and new coats to area dry cleaners who cleaned them donated them to Longview Community Ministries and P.A.T.H. Distribution day is coming for kids to receive one of these donated coats!
Cold weather will be here in East Texas before you know it and unfortunately, there will be kids right here in East Texas that will not have a coat (or jacket) to keep them warm this winter. This is where we, as a community can come together to help those that can't afford a coat for their kids with the Coats For Kids coat drive.
Generous East Texans donated hundreds of gently used and new coats in October to the Coats for Kids campaign that were to be cleaned and distributed to children who need a warm coat this winter.
Winter will soon descend upon East Texas, and bring with it much colder temperatures. It'll be time to break out the jackets and coats to keep our kids warm, but that will not be happening for a lot of East Texas children.
Thousands of East Texas kids will go without a warm coat this winter, that's the sad truth. Through the Coats For Kids campaign with P.A.T.H. though, many kids will have a warm coat this winter thankfully.
