In a bit of unscripted drama, a Hungarian SWAT team raided a warehouse on the set of the Brad Pitt zombie flick ‘World War Z’ and seized 85-fully functional weapons that were to be used as props in the film.

It seems that the assault rifles had been flown into Budapest — where ‘World War Z’ is being shot — along with paperwork falsely claiming that they weren’t functional.

“This morning a private plane brought guns wrapped in a parcel from a company to an individual [in Budapest],” said the director of Hungary’s Anti-Terrorism Unit. “Guns like these are highly illegal to transport even if they were to be used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren’t.”

Brad Pitt is said to be “furious” over this latest hiccup for a movie that is already over schedule and over budget.

But if they really didn’t know these guns were functional, it seems like this incident could have had a far more unhappy ending.
