Tyler’s Stevie Jo Survives Battle Round One on ‘The Voice’ [VIDEO]
The first of the battle rounds got underway on 'The Voice' last night on NBC, featuring Stevie Jo from Tyler on Team Usher. Stevie Jo went head to head with fellow teammate Jake Barker. The two sang Steve Winwood's "Higher Love," which ended up being quite the battle at the end of the performance.
Both guys received favorable comments from Shakira, Adam and Blake. When it came to Adam Levine's comments, he assured the two that both will be advancing in the battle rounds because whoever Usher decides to not keep on his team, he'd pick up the other. Usher had a tough decision to make and ended up choosing Stevie Jo! Jake was then chosen to defect to Team Adam after all three judges wanted him on their team.
Once the decision was made that Stevie Jo was to remain with Usher he ran down to the judges to give Adam Levine, Shakira and Blake Shelton high fives and gaveUsher a big hug.
Usher says we have yet to see who Stevie Jo really is and that he has some special plans for him.
Stevie Jo is really excited to remain on Team Usher and will be heading into Round 2 of the Battle Rounds soon on 'The Voice' on NBC.
