On March 1, former No Limit rapper Mr. Magic, and his wife, Chastity, were killed in a car accident. Fellow rhyme-slinger Snoop Dogg pays tribute to Mr. Magic on the elegiac ode, 'Heaven.'

For some of you who don't know, Snoop was an artist on No Limit Records from 1998-2000. During his tenure, he and Mr. Magic became friends and appeared on each other's albums.

On the somber tune 'Heaven,' which samples the flute riff from the Beatles' classic song 'Strawberry Fields Forever,' Snoop celebrates Mr. Magic's life. "When I think of all the friends I lost / Tears fall from my eye," he raps. "If I could only bring him back / If I could only bring him back / Bring him back / Then I would."

Snoop also gives an R.I.P. salute to Big Herc (Ice Cube's bodyguard), Nate Dogg and Tupac Shakur.

Overall, Snoop Dogg's 'Heaven' is a touching tribute song to Mr. Magic. Take a listen.

Rest in peace to all of the rap artists we've lost in 2013.
